  A friend of mine & I were hanging out at Barton Springs today. She did all the swimming, and we left before the rain hit, but she had to wait for the bus, and wound up getting caught in it, which was okay since she had been in the water all day anyway.

      Well..it clears the air...and if it sticks around long enough it drops the temp a few degrees which is nice.
      
      The tremendous thunderstorms.are one of the few nice things about living in southern texas if you ask me.

  There are efforts in California to make it rain, it's been done for about 50 years or so to ensure enough fresh water. I wonder if it's done in Austin as well from time to time. Do you know if it is?
